The "Lucy Lesson"
My journey started with a clever, mischievous German Shepherd named Lucy. She challenged everything I thought I knew and pushed me to become the trainer dogs actually need. Watching her transform from a reactive whirlwind into a dependable partner showed me exactly how powerful thoughtful, consistent training can be.
That experience set the foundation for my career. I have spent the last two decades immersed in hands-on work, professional certifications, and constant education in practical, modern training methods.

Gear Designed by Necessity
My transition into making gear happened because I was frustrated. As a trainer who is always on the move, I could never find a handsfree leash design that actually met my standards for functionality and comfort. I decided to stop searching and start building.
Today, I handcraft custom BioThane leashes and collars that balance clean design with the rugged reliability dog owners actually need. BioThane is waterproof, stink proof, and adventure proof. Every piece I make is born from my own daily training needs, ensuring you have gear you can trust in any environment.

Rooted in Reality
At home, I am a proud mom to my daughter, Lily, and a dog mom to Hanna and Hero. You will usually find us exploring Ontario’s parks, swimming whenever the sun is out, or winding down with a movie after a long day.
My life with my own dogs keeps my training grounded in reality. I know that life is not about perfection. It is about clarity, trust, and building a partnership that works long after the training session ends.
